There are two doors - where do I go?
What is Bootcamp?
Our Bootcamp is a HIIT-style (high intensity interval training) workout that lasts 35 minutes, so you can easily fit a quick, impactful workout into your schedule. We’ve built a high-energy, positive environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered. Workouts are scalable and adaptable for all levels, so you can show up exactly as you are and still get an incredible session. With expert coaching, a focus on safety, and a community that lifts each other up, this is where you come to build strength, confidence, and the best version of yourself.
How does Tranzform Fitness track skeletal muscle and body fat?
We track progress through our incredibly accurate InBody technology, which uses bioelectrical impedance to assess body composition. By sending a small electrical signal through your body, the scan measures muscle mass, body fat, and total body water. It is much more than just weight or BMI alone! The InBody scan lets our team better understand your current body composition, so we can set a goal and plan together to live our healthiest lives.
What is the difference between weight loss and fat loss?
While the two terms seem to refer to the same thing, weight loss is actually different from fat loss! Weight loss simply refers to the scale going up or down, including fat, muscle, and water. Fat loss refers specifically to losing body fat while maintaining muscle. Fat loss leads to a leaner look, better strength, more energy, and long-term results. “Weight loss” by itself is less specific and can be misleading, because the scale doesn’t tell the full wellness story. How you feel, perform, and look matters more!
Why do I need a coach to work out?
Do you need a coach? Not necessarily. You can absolutely start a cardio routine on your own or follow home workouts. But if your goal is to move better, avoid injury, stay consistent, and see real progress, a coach makes a significant difference. Every Olympic athlete has a coach. Most high-performing professionals have mentors or advisors. To reach your full potential, it’s hard to do it alone.
A coach provides structure, accountability, and guidance. Most people are far more likely to follow through when someone else is supporting them, rather than relying on willpower alone. Many people have tried fitness programs or diets before. Very few have had the combination of consistent check-ins, education, skill-building, and a clear plan for when life inevitably gets busy. That’s often where progress falls off. At Tranzform, you still do the work, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Think of us as your lighthouse, guiding you, keeping you on track, and moving you toward lasting results.
Is working with a coach expensive?
There is a monthly membership cost, but it’s best to think of it as an investment in your health, both now and in the future.
When you have structure, guidance, and accountability, you’re more likely to stay consistent with your goals, including nutrition and daily habits. Many people find that as they prioritize their health, they naturally spend less on things like fast food, dining out, and other habits that don’t support their goals.
It often becomes less about adding another expense and more about shifting priorities. When you invest in your well-being, you’re investing in more energy, better health, and a higher quality of life.
What are the non-tangible benefits of working out?
Working out goes far beyond physical results. Many of the biggest benefits show up in your everyday life:
- More energy throughout the day
- Improved mood and mental clarity
- Better sleep and recovery
- Stronger mental and emotional resilience
- Increased confidence and sense of self
- A supportive community that helps fill your social cup
At Tranzform, we focus on “deep health,” supporting your physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being so you can feel your best in every aspect of life.
I haven’t worked out in 10 years - is there a program for me?
Absolutely! We meet people where they are at and have programs that will be an amazing fit for any exercise level or injury.
Will other people judge me when I start a program with Tranzform Fitness?
Not at all! Tranzform Fitness is a welcoming environment with people of all fitness levels, ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Our culture is built around support, not judgment. Members are encouraged, celebrated, and motivated by one another every step of the way. As we like to say: our programs are designed around inspiration, not intimidation.
What is included in a Personal Fitness Evaluation?
A Personal Fitness Evaluation is about an hour-long free consultation that includes:
- Functional Movement Screening (squat mobility test, shoulder mobility test, and active straight leg raise test)
- InBody Scan
- Fitness Goals Assessment
- One-on-one discussion with a trained professional to understand your goals, fitness history, injuries, motivations, and your support system. We want to get a full picture of you!
- Program recommendations to suggest the best exercise options for you
Do I have to sign up for membership immediately after a Personal Fitness Evaluation?
No. There’s no pressure to sign up for a membership the same day as your fitness evaluation. We want you to take your time, review our recommendations, and choose the program that feels most sustainable and fits best with your schedule.
What is an InBody Scan?
Our InBody scan takes bioelectrical Impedance measurements to assess body composition. By sending a small electrical signal through your body, the scan measures muscle mass, body fat, and total body water and gives us a full picture of current composition. It also tells us your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) – how many calories your body needs at rest – and helps us understand what your caloric intake should look like to exercise safely. The InBody scan provides a much better picture of health than just BMI alone!
What should I expect on my first day at Tranzform Fitness Grand Haven?
You should expect it to be the best part of your day. When you walk in, you will be greeted by one of your coaches and shown where to put your shoes and get changed into your workout shoes. Then we will take you around the room explaining the workout and asking about any injuries we should watch out for. We will always pair you up with some pros, so you feel comfortable following along and can focus on just improving. At the end of the workout, we will do a stretch and cool down to make sure you feel your best throughout your whole day, and we will thank you and can’t wait to see you back very soon!
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
You do not need to bring any equipment. We provide all the equipment needed for the workouts! We do suggest bringing a good pair of shoes and a water bottle, wearing comfy clothes, and joining with a positive mindset – it seriously can help your workout go a long way!
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat and blocks?
We provide all essential yoga tools (mats, blocks, etc.) to have a great experience but you are also welcome to bring your own if you feel more comfortable!
How should I feel after the first month of working out?
You should feel very proud of getting out of your comfort zone and establishing a new routine that supports a better quality of life in the long term. You will start to feel clothes fit a little differently, and you will likely have more energy, better sleep, and a shift in mindset when it comes to challenges in your life. You will feel like you are making progress towards your goals, and that progress will turn into motivation to rock out in month two!
What gym membership plans are available?
We offer a variety of membership options, but we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we start with a conversation to understand your goals, lifestyle, and experience level. From there, we’ll recommend the program that we believe will set you up for the best results.
